The Author

Sharla R. Jordan was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She is ninth in a family of ten children. She graduated from Mesa Community College, with two associate degrees. She is currently enrolled at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah with a major in psychology and a minor in music. 

Sharla resides in Kaysville, Utah with her husband and their six sons, four of whom have autism. She loves her family, music, and learning and sharing her knowledge and experiences with others. She has worked with children who have special needs for over ten years, has years of experience in parent consulting, and has been parenting a child with autism for over fifteen years. She is passionate about helping her boys and others who deal with those challenged by autism. She is a member of the Autism Council of Utah.

Sharla has been interviewed for topics related to autism for television and published articles. She is available to speak on autism for training's, information fairs, and conferences for those interested in learning more or gaining better understanding about autism spectrum disorder.
